Our Mission is to provide preschool children in our community with a loving, creative,

secure environment, equipping them to grow socially, cognitively and physically in a

caring, Christian setting.

 

At Westminster Preschool we encourage the development of the whole child in a hands-on

learning environment. Our mixed age group classrooms help us see each child at their

individual stage of learning.

Our program strives to provide a positive and enriching learning environment and a variety of experiences

that will allow the child to:

• Develop an interest and joy for leaning through a balance of developmentally appropriate teacher and

  child directed activities.

• Learn to interact with other children and become comfortable in a group setting by developing social

  and listening skills.

• Develop self-expression, self-control and responsibility.

• Master skills needed for Kindergarten readiness.

• Nurture basic Christian values and the use of prayer.

We offer an excellent program for children ages 3-5 years old. This mixed-age group format provides

many social, and intellectual benefits for the children.

 

 

Three Day - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9:10 to 11:40am. Children must be 3 by September 1, 2012.

 

Five Day - Monday thru Friday, 9:00 to 11:30am. children must be 3 by September 1, 2012.

 

Class size is limited to 20 children with two certified teachers. Class begins the first Monday after Labor Day and ends the Friday before Memorial Day. We follow the Rockford School district weather closing policy.

 

 

Circle Time: Calendar, stories, songs and discussion of daily activities

Center Time: Small groups, art, blocks, books, manipulative activities, science, table games

and dramatic play 

Group Activities: Music and Movement, large motor activities, and outdoor play

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our Director, Alisa Fewell earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Southern Illinois University.

She has been teaching Early Childhood Education since 1993.

 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Assistant Director, Lara Kassel earned earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Illinois State University and a Masters of Education from National Lewis. She has been teaching since 1994.

A $75.00 non-refundable registration/supply fee is due at the time of registration.

Tuition for five-day program: $200.00/month.

Tuition for three-day program: $125.00/month
