Children's Ministries
Westminster ministries for children and youth are lively, vibrant and Christ centered.
We have Sunday morning classes for children ages preschool through 5th grade. Do you have teens in your family? Please link to our "Youth" page.
Weekly, our children connect with their family of faith through Sunday Learning Hour:
Learning Hour for all ages meets from 10:00-11:00am with the details of our classes listed below. Assistance is available for children with special needs to attend Learning Hour. Please call Barbara D'Souza, Director of Christian Education, at 282-1500 to make arrangements.
Nursery: Our nursery is open from 8:30-12:10 each Sunday morning. It is designed to offer children ages infants to five years old a safe and fun place while parents are in worship or a class. We also welcome children who get “the wiggles” during our church services (up to age 5). Each parent receives a nursery pager so they can be reached at any time.
Our nursery is staffed with one professional child care provider with parents and older youth volunteers.
Pre-School Classes:
Ages 2 & 3 year olds meet in room A115
Ages 4 & 5 year olds meet in room A116
Bible time, crafts, games, stories, music and plenty of time to play are all part of Sunday mornings with our preschool and kindergarten children.
Classes for Grades 1-5:
At Westminster, we use the Rotation model of Christian Education and our families love it!
Our Grade School children begin Learning Hour at 10:00am in the Chapel (Room A120). At 10:15, they break into rotation classes that approach the three week units in ways that appeal to all children—art, music, games, cooking, video and computers!
Boy Scout Troop 41 holds meetings here on Tuesday nights. For more information contact Barbara D'Souza at 815-282-1500.

Our midweek program for children in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade! Crafts, recreation, music and worship, family dinner time and Bible time are all part of a wonderful afternoon and evening that provide Christian fun, fellowship and learning for our LOGOS family. Weekly themes add to the fun. Friends Always Welcome!
Our theme this year? Each week, we will travel along Route 66, stopping at a new town every Wednesday.

Yearly cost for the LOGOS program is:
$80.00 /1st child
$150.00 for 2 children (in the same family)
$175 for 3 or more children (in the same family)
Scholarships and payment plans are available, speak to Barbara D'Souza to make arrangements. No child is ever turned away due to finances!
