Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lent

The season of Lent begins with the traditional Ash Wednesday Service, including scripture, hymns, prayer and the imposition of ashes.
Wednesday Lenten Midweek Services Begin on February 29
February 29 - March 28
6:30 pm in the Sanctuary
Our Lenten midweek services this year will be contemplative in style and will include readings, prayers, songs and time for meditation. Set aside a half hour each week during Lent and come to watch and pray together.

Choirs for Children
Festival of Choirs (All City Music Fest)
Sunday, February 12, 4:30 pm
Trinity Lutheran Church - 200 North 1st Street
Over 150 youth are registered to sing together on this Sunday in February. Besides the massed choir, there will be 3 featured choirs for this festival. This year’s featured choirs will include Kantorei’s Treble and Training Choir, Holy Family School Choir and the Schola Choir from Grace Episcopal Church in Oak Park, Illinois.
The guest director, Daniele Bruhn, comes to us from Batavia where she directs the Fox Valley Children’s Chorus, a community chorus for children in second grade through age 15.
All are welcome and invited to come! All LOGOS children are invited to be a part of this exciting event.

Logos Choir
Rehearses Wednesdays at 4:30 pm from September -March
Leads Sunday 11:15 am service - once a month
Children learn about the history of different pieces, experience different musical instruments and sing a wide range of worship music. These youth may also participate in a city wide festival in February at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, directed by Marti Bein, director of the Mendelssohn Chorale.
