Stateline Project

The Stateline Project reaches out to young families in Northern Illinois through the midweek children’s ministry, Stateline Kids Club, and by offering small groups.
Through the children’s ministry, and small groups, the Stateline Project seeks to bring people together for worship in the near future.

Stateline Kids Club and the small group ministries are coordinated by Rev. Brad Rogers.

Stateline Kids Club
Stateline Kids Club is back in session as of January 18th. There are around 35 kids registered to the program and the hope is that Illuminate will have a synergist effect on Stateline Kids Club and small groups. It looks to be a good Spring semester.

Illuminate Worship
The Stateline Project’s worship pilot program launched on January 11th. With no publicity campaign, no mass mailer, no broadcasting of service information through local media, but simply by word of mouth, there were 76 individuals gathered for worship. There was a good mix of Westminster members as well as visitors and first time visitors with no previous involvement in the Stateline ministries. The leadership that was present at the service said, “It was the best case scenario.” An offering was taken and just shy of $300 was collect, which was funneled through the Stateline budget as mission money to be dedicated towards needy families at Willowbrook Middle School for school trips and to the three local food pantries.

Illuminate is a 3 month pilot program that will meet monthly. The next two services are February 8th and March 14th. I look forward to sharing the results of the remainder of the pilot. A heartfelt thanks goes out to the many who were so involved in making this happen: the 11:15 band, the aesthetics committee, our sound crew, and those who came early to set-up and stayed late to tear-down. Thank you!

Thanks for your interest in the Stateline Project

Blessings,
Rev. Brad Rogers
